Other Info:
The track was built in 1966 and was upgraded to synthetic in 2015 and due to open for use on 6th June 2015. Shows a picture of the track in late April 2015 before the lane lines were painted on. More details on the upgrade are here. Before then it was 6 lanes all round and 7 on the home straight. The infield was an all-weather pitch which meant that long throws were not possible. There was an astro-turf strip across the track just before the finish to allow access to the pitch. The track was in reasonable condition and was a good surface to run on when dry. The PV runway inside the top bend had been grassed over.
