Other Info:
The track opened in October 1988 or 1989. It was built for Ryedale Council and originally called Ryedale Stadium but a boundary change put the stadium within the City of York Council's area. It is run on their behalf by Civic Leisure and forms part of the Water World complex which comprises swimming pools and a Courtney's Gym. The stadium is the home of York Rugby League Club.
