Other Info:
This cinder track was around the rugby pitch at what is now called the Stoop Memorial Ground - home of Harlequins RFC although Twickenham AC (now Richmond & Twickenham AC) were the original users of the site in the early 1960s. The track was shared with 'Quins' until the early 1980s when they acquired the lease on the ground and evicted R&T who then moved to Barn Elms in 1984. The track was then grassed over and the ground subsequently developed. The entrance to the track used to be in Craneford Way hence the name.
