Other Info:
The track was completed in September 1980 and had a Resisport surface. It was demolished in September 2003 as the ground is to be converted into a football/rugby stadium to be shared by Swansea City AFC and Swansea RFC. In its last few years, the track was not used for meetings as there was a significant dip halfway down the home straight and the track was very worn. There was an indoor straight at the site which was also demolished. The Athletics Association of Wales (AAW) were based here but as a result of the plans moved out in 2000 to a location near Newport. Swansea Harriers have now moved to the track at Sketty Lane.
