Other Info:
Dave Terry says that there was a cinder track at Slough within a small football stadium. Not sure however if this is the correct location. A stadium on Belfast Avenue is still shown on the A-Z and was called Centre Stadium. It was a football ground with a banked cycle track around it and was used by the now disbanded Slough Centre FC. It opened in 1943 and had 800 covered seats by 1950. The ground itself still exists but just as a grass pitch as the covered seats were removed some while ago and the cycle track removed in the early 1980s. However the large administrative building remains as a Youth & Community Centre. A sign on the building mentions Rotunda Stadium so that may have been an alternative name.
