Other Info:
The track is a redgra one and was in existence by 1960 when the English Schools Championships were staged here. It is adjacent to Shrewsbury College of Arts & Technology which was originally called Shrewsbury Technical College. The Championships were again held here in 1974. In April 2000, the LJ/TJ runways were renewed with a synthetic 3 lane PV/LJ/TJ facility, the throwing cage was repaired and it is thought that the HJ area was relaid as well. The track is also associated with London Road Sports Centre.
