This track has been used for at least one athletics meeting in the past but is now used for speedway, oval track motor racing and greyhound racing. The length of the speedway track is 361m. The ground was briefly home to Sheffield FC (the oldest football club in the world) and Sheffield Eagles RLFC (now defunct).
