Other Info:
This is a rather unique track in that it is a effectively an irregular shaped perimeter path around what is usually a rather waterlogged field that is the sports field of Millom School. It opened for use in May 2021. The track surface is SUDS Bond (Red colour) which is a hard wearing but permeable surface but it is not a traditional synthetic athletics track surface so spikes are not allowed. There is a 6 lane 100m sprint straight which is actually 130m in length and 7.32m wide (6 standard track lanes) and the rest of the circuit is 2.5m wide (so effectively 2 lanes wide). The Millom parkrun is now held over 5 laps of the circuit. As well running and walking it is also used for cycling. The track Facebook page has lots of pictures, videos and general information about it.
