Other Info:
The track opened on 18th June 1980 and the surface was Tartan 3M. The infield was an Astroturf hockey/football pitch which means that throwing events were not possible inside the track but the full range of jumps were available. There was an Athletics Throwing Area next to the track with a synthetic JT runway but no other circles although there was a DT/HT cage with one circle at one time. The track was used by Herne Hill Harriers until 1985 when Tooting Bec became synthetic. Due to a problem with the irrigation from the Astroturf, the track was a bit bumpy in parts and, even by 2000, meetings had not been held here for many years. In 2015, the track still exists but is now totally derelict.
