This was a 5 laps to the mile cinder track inside a 4.5 laps (3991y) to the mile banked concrete track outside it. It was in the area now between Hotham Road and Landford Road. The ground was also referred to as the Putney Cycling and Athletic Grounds. The first meeting was held on 8th August 1891 and the last on 11th August 1905. There is also reference in to the grounds opening on 1st August 1891 in Athletics by H.H. Griffin. There is a book on the track called "The Putney Velodrome and The Putney Velodrome Estate" by Pat Heery, ISBN 0 9535782 0 8 (020 8788 0762, 8 Earldom Road, PUTNEY, SW15 1AF)
