Other Info:
This was principally a greyhound and speedway stadium and was owned by the Greyhound Racing Association. It was replaced by a superstore in the late 1980s/early 1990s. The greyhounds ran on a separate track outside the speedway circuit, with the hare mechanism on the extreme outside. The shale speedway surface was sometimes used for schools athletics meetings in the late 1940s and early 1950s, one event being the North Middlesex Schools Sports in either 1947 or 1948.
