Other Info:
The track is in the 1962 AW list of cinder tracks. The infield is leased to Blackheath RFC and four floodlights pylons have recently been installed on each straight on the outer lane. Unfortunately the track has been left in a terrible condition and it is unsafe even for jogging. There has been some talk about completely grassing over the track. There is a pavilion at the track which the rugby club have spent some money on but it still looks very run down. The width of the track is narrower than standard for 4 lanes by about 20cm and it is not a perfect oval as the first bend (more easterly one) is much tighter.
