This old cinder track is listed under Huyton because it is outside Liverpool council area even though the postal address is straight Liverpool. The location is right on the border with Prescot and there is an another old track listed under Prescot only about 100 yards from this one at the former City of Liverpool College of Higher Education. The track once staged the Northern Champs in the 1950s and was also the start and finish of the Pembroke 20. The playing fields on which the track was situated are still there and now incorporate a fitness course. The track has been grassed over.
