Other Info:
The track has been synthetic since at least the mid 1980s. It was resurfaced in summer 1999 with a Mondo Sportflex Super X Classic synthetic surface which looks like matting composed of narrow strips. The HJ area was upgraded to Mondo from the original surface in 2001. The track must have been resurfaced again as it is currently (2021) a more conventional synthetic surface with signs of wear in a few places. There is a small pavilion at the track which was built in 1999 to replace one that burnt down. The main changing rooms are in a building about 100m from the track in which there is a bar. The track is closed from April to June 2022 as it is being resurfaced.
