Other Info:
The track was originally cinder. It was upgraded to synthetic in 1988 and was built at approximately 90 degrees to the orientation of the old track (\). The 'stadium' opened in May 1991 and includes an indoor straight, a good multi-gym and loose weights room. The track was refurbished in August 1999 with some damaged sections repaired and the lines repainted. Work to repair a steeplechase barrier, SP board and the cage netting was due to be completed by early May 2001 so the track should have a full certificate soon. The tracks pictures are courtesy of Andy Fletcher of Wakefield District Harriers & AC.
