Other Info:
The track is part of a £12M outdoor sports complex which was opened by the Princess Royal on 13th April 2000. Work commenced on building the track in August 1999 at a ceremony attended by internationals John Nuttall & Helen Pattinson. The complex is a joint venture between the University of Central Lancashire and Preston Borough Council and was built on 60 acres of land that the University purchased in 1990.
