Work started in 2002 on this brand new track and stadium with purpose built facilities for athletes with a disability at the site of Boston Rugby Club at Boardsides, Wyberton Fen to the west of Boston. The track surface was laid and lined in August 2003. The track is part of a £7.5 million sports complex which includes revamped rugby facilities. Special features for the track include dog pens for guide dogs, guide rails in Braille and ramped access to all entrances. There is also thought to be an indoor 6 lane straight and a health club operated by Granada. There are some pictures of the track in construction on the Boston & District AC website. A throws meeting is due to be staged here on 20th June 2004 in memory of the late Tommy Clay, the leading inspiration behind Holbeach AC for decades. The track has also been referred to as The Tommy Clay Track.
