Other Info:
The track opened in 1988 and was partially resurfaced in 1996. It was originally called Linksfield Stadium and was renamed in memory of Chris Anderson who was a vice-chairman of Aberdeen AFC when they won the European Cup-Winners Cup in 1983 and was also a local politician and member of the local sports council. There is a Chris Anderson medal given out each year for outstanding sports performance.
